Tough Climb for Women up India Inc Ladder

1womensday
A population of 500 million women, but only 258 of them hold some of the top jobs in the country.Thats how skewed India Incs diversity ratio is.On Womens Day,a study by ET threw up other disappointing findings. There are only 16 women on the Board of Directors of the 30 Sensex companies,or 4.8% of the 335 people who hold directorship positions. In the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) 100 companies, which has 923 directors, only 50 (5.4%) are women, while the companies in the BSE 500 index have only 192 women (5.3 %) out of 3,650 persons holding directorship positions
