Success In Life

On May 31, 1990, the first episode of Seinfeld aired on NBC. The show was originally turned down by FOX and, according to folklore, didn’t test well in focus groups either. But the sitcom based on Jerry Seinfeld’s stand-up comedy would go on to be one of the biggest TV hits of all time. If executives had evaluated the program simply by the numbers or the research results, the show would have been pulled off the air prematurely. So it begs the question: How do we measure value if numbers don't measure success in life?
